About Our Owner

Mr. Kim Tschantz, MSP, CEP, is credentialed as a Certified Environmental Professional with a Master of Science degree in Urban and Region Planning. He has over 25 years of experience in project management, land use planning, environmental impact assessment and permitting. For over a decade Kim managed the Environmental Review program for the County of Santa Cruz. He is a long-time member of the Association of Environmental Professional and served several terms as President and Vice-President of AEP's the Monterey Bay Chapter.

Clients of Cypress Environmental and Land Use Planning range from private property owners who wish to plan for sustainable development of their properties, to municipalities that need assistance in evaluating the environmental impacts of their new parks and public works projects. The mission statement of the firm derives from Kim's philosophy that doing what is right for you and what's best for the environment should be compatible objectives. By meeting both objectives, this firm can assist you in creating a project that is easily maintainable over the long-term without you being saddled with structural mishaps and emergency problems jeopardizing property long after the project is implemented.
